Installing Cart45
Installing Cart45 should be a breeze and should take less than 5 minutes.
What you need
- Something to unzip the Cart45 download file*
- a web server/host
- a text editor e.g. notepad - not Microsoft Word
- an FTP** program - we recommend Filezilla (free but Windows only)
- your FTP settings from your web server/host
* Windows XP/Vista, OS X and many other operating systems should allow you to do this by simply double-clicking.
** FTP stands for File Transfer protocol and is how you upload your files onto your web server.
You'll got all the gear, now what?
- Download the Cart45 source file and unzip
- Upload to your web server of choice via FTP (see above)
- Go to the install screen of cart45 www.yourwebsite.com/install.php
- Follow instructions on that screen which will guide you through editing the config file
- Enter you basic details and start the insatllation process
- Delete the install.php file from your server (for security purposes)
